Simon Mahood

Simon MahoodSimon is the Senior Technical Advisor for the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Cambodia program. He oversees the technical aspects of WCS’s conservation work throughout Cambodia, and also advises directly on implementation of their conservation in the Tonle Sap Great Lake. Simon has been working for WCS in Cambodia for more than five years, and has been based in Southeast Asia since 2008. Prior to that he worked at BirdLife International, and studied for his Masters at the University of East Anglia, Norwich. Simon has recently begun a PhD on Bengal Florican at Charles Darwin University, Australia. Simon has been a keen birder all of his life, but has a special love for waterbirds, particularly Southeast Asia’s storks and ibises.
