Simba Chan, Senior Conservation Officer of BirdLife International (based in Tokyo), have studied Oriental Stork when they were still wintering in Hong Kong (early 1990s). Have also participated in compiling the two international action plans on Black-faced Spoonbill (published in 1995 and 2005 respectively). Recently works on conservation projects on the Chinese Crested Tern and small migratory birds in Asia.
