I am a Portuguese biologist, and since 2008 I have been working for the conservation of the endemic-rich forests of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe (central Africa). As a Post-Doc at CE3C (Lisbon University), my research focuses on the impact of human activities on island biodiversity. Most of my work is with birds, and since 2012 I have partnered with a BirdLife Initiative on the islands’ critically endangered avifauna, which include the dwarf olive ibis Bostrychia bocagei.
