Peter Widmann studied Biology at University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Germany. Since the past 25 years he has worked for conservation projects in various tropical and subtropical countries in Asia, but mainly in the Philippines and Indonesia.
He is co-founder and vice-president of Katala Foundation, Inc., based in Palawan, Philippines, which mainly implements conservation programs for highly threatened species. He worked on nest protection of Storm’s Stork and Lesser Adjutant in West Kalimantan, Indonesia, particularly in the estuary of Kapuas River and the Danau Sentarum.
