José I Aguirre

José is a Lecturer at the Department of Biodiversity, Ecology and Evolution in the University Complutense of Madrid. His research lines are focused on evolutionary ecology at several levels of organization and scales of time and space. He has used White Storks as model species to study interactions between individual behavior, life-history theory and population dynamics. He combines theory with long-term population monitoring data based on marked individuals. He has also used this species to investigate the development of analytical methods for pollutants behavior in the environment and the use of living organism as bioindicators.
