Yat-Tung Yu

Yat-Tung YuYat-tung Yu studies the ecology of Black-faced Spoonbill that helps understand more of this little-known but endangered species. His research focuses to behavior of the spoonbill that is directly related to its habitat requirements and so information could well be used for its conservation. Yu is one of the four authors of the “International Single Species Action Plan for the Conservation of the Black-faced Spoonbill (Platalea minor).” He is currently a Research Manager of the Hong Kong Bird Watching Society (HKBWS), an NGO that is keen to promote research and conservation of birds and their habitats in Hong Kong and Asia, and also a coordinator of East Asian-Australasian Flyway Partnership Black-faced Spoonbill Working Group (EAAFP BFSWG,  ).
