Imad Cherkaoui

I am associate Professor at the « Ecole Supérieure de Technologie de Khénifra » under Moulay Ismail University (Morocco). I’m ornithologist interested in studying marine and waterbirds. I worked for more than 10 year with BirdLife International as country representative and I was in charge, amongst other projects, of the implementation of projects for protecting the Critically Endangered Northern Bald Ibis in Souss Massa National Park. Member of IUCN SSC, Member of AEWA TC, MedWet STN and Chair Pan-African Ornithological Congress (2016-2020). I also worked with WWF as freshwater and wetlands projects officer. I have published several peer-reviewed papers particularly on waterbirds including glossy Ibises and Eurasian Spoonbills.
